Medical Doctor, specialized in Radiology. Ph.D. in Neuroscience. From 2021 Full Professor of Human Anatomy.

Scientific activity devoted to radiological anatomy and clinical anatomy, study of central and peripheral chemoreceptors, neuroanatomy / neuropathology of the brain stem; studies of regenerative anatomy and tissue engineering.

The neuroanatomical group is focused mainly in understanding the anatomical organization of the central nervous system, through an integrated approach based on brain cutting, histological and immunohistochemical methods, morphometric analysis and radiological techniques.

The following projects are underway at our laboratory:
- topographical studies of nuclei of the brainstem
- topographical studies of subtalamic nucleus related to PD
- radiological studies
- anatomical basis of Osteoarthritis Pain
